Not my will...

Surrendering our will means changing our desires.  It means letting go of our plans.  It means giving up our ambitions.

Delight thyself also in the LORD;
and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Commit thy way unto the LORD;
trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
Psalm 37:4-5

An un-surrendered Christian is about as useless as a black crayon on black paper.
See?  The black words don't show up at all.

  2. Great posts Hannah! Surrendering my will, to me, means gaining the best from God. For so long I thought that delighting my self in the Lord meant that I would get what I wanted; but then I realized that delighting myselft in the Lord (surrendering my will to Him) meant that He would put new desires in my heart that would please both of us! How wonderful it is to surrender!!! - Tinyla
